Out-of-Court Proceedings
Considering the possible paths you could take, it will normally be in your own best interest and in the interest of your children to come to an amicable, out-of-court solution of the matter. In this scenario, I would offer to represent you in joint discussions with the opposing party or in four-party discussions, including the other party’s lawyer. In an ideal scenario, these discussions can follow a mediation-style pattern. It turns out quite often that within the scope of such discussions agreements can be reached to the satisfaction of all parties.
